Dorset Hero Awards: finalists confirmed for star-studded event
The DORSET Hero Awards event is just hours away.
Readers and visitors to our website will be able to find out tomorrow evening, June 9, who among those they nominated was chosen as the award winners.
Hospital staff, healthcare professionals and caregivers who escalated during the pandemic are among the finalists.
It will be a night when the others will be recognized too. They include babysitters, first responders, and those unsung heroes who might otherwise be in danger of being forgotten.
The star-studded event will be hosted by Simon Weston CBE and will kick off on the Dorset Echo Facebook page at 7pm.
And thanks to its distribution on social networks, visitors will be able to comment and encourage their favorites.
Here is the list of finalists:
Medical Hero Category – sponsored by the Miramar Hotel
Healthcare team award: Forest Holme Hospice, Poole; ICU Royal Bournemouth Hospital; Dorset University Hospitals Theater Team.
Individual award for healthcare professionals: Victoria Tweedy, Dorset County Hospital; Mandy Harris, Lewis-Manning Hospice Cares; Minnie Klepacz, UHD Bournemouth.
